Pool Patrol PA-30 Pool Alarm

The POOL PATROL Alarm is intended to be an additional layer of security to protect your loved ones. It is not a lifesaving device and does not replace supervision, fences, gates, covers, locks, etc. It may not detect gradual pool entry.

This model has a transmitter and receiver, alerting you of any pool intrusion via the receiver nearby.

The PA-30 is ASTM F-2208-08(2019) compliant.

PA-30 contents:

• Floating Alarm (Transmitter)
• Receiver with Power Supply
• String Kit (with two black plastic hooks)

IMPORTANT

Turning off the pool alarm will NOT turn off the receiver inside your house, and vice versa.

Sensitivity Adjustment

Turn the black flotation base clockwise/counterclockwise to raise/lower the sensing ring relative to water level. Do not force. The most sensitive (ASTM-tested) position is at the stops. Adjusting beyond this may void compliance.

Sensitivity Marks

The "Sensitivity Marks" help indicate sensitivity position. Adjust the float only a ¼ turn at a time, testing after each. Avoid turning more than three full turns.

Troubleshooting

• Alarm will not work: Replace 9V alkaline battery.
• Alarm chirps occasionally: Battery low, replace battery.
• Alarm was working but stopped: Clean sensing post with steel wool.
• False alarms: Ensure alarm is not near filter, pump, or jets; filter inlet points down.
• Water inside alarm: Remove battery and send unit for service.
• Receiver LED not lit: Check power connection and ON/OFF switch.
• Receiver on but not triggered: Move receiver closer; avoid metal siding or foil insulation obstructing signal.
• Alarm sounds unexpectedly: Neighbor might have same alarm; put receiver in ID mode and pair transmitter.

Alarm Placement

For pools 20–40 ft or smaller, one alarm suffices (all pool types including inflatable and soft side).

For larger pools, multiple alarms recommended.
